With summer already upon us, there’s little doubt that you’ll soon find yourself heading to the beach in that trusty swimwear that been around for a few years and feels like a trusted friend. Unfortunately, it doesn’t quite look as good next to the display of designer labelled costumes on the girls nearby.

The following day, you hit the mall with a vengeance only to find similar styles are far too expensive. You rue the fact that you can’t afford the very best swimwear in town but fail to realise that with a little conscientious shopping, designer swimwear can be picked up at very affordable prices.
There’s no reason why stores with the latest designs shouldn’t stock some of last years designer ranges, especially if the new designs are only just appearing on the racks. Stores like TK Maxx and Big Lots have a tendency to overstock, and can provide the discerning shopper with the bargain of the summer.
Thrift stores are ideal for picking up cheap designer swimwear at a fraction of the usual price you’d pay elsewhere. Of course, the thought of wearing a used piece of swimwear may put some people off but it can be a fair trade-off when price is taken into consideration.
If you don’t mind wearing a used swimsuit, garage clearances and car boot sales can spring up a few surprises while it’s always worth asking your friends if there’s anything they’re looking to banish to the back of the wardrobe.
